Why do I need a makeup artist? Because we are just that: artists. We are in tune to the nuances that cohere a look, and that means knowing what to apply beyond the products themselves. Makeup artists are knowledgeable about facial anatomy and color theory, which allow us to determine the most appropriate look based on your unique facial structure, skin type/tone, or the color palette of your event.

Are you a licensed cosmetologist? No, I am not. A makeup artist only has to be licensed in the state of Minnesota if he or she plans on working in a salon, and it is state law that all in-house salon service providers have a current cosmetology license. Freelance makeup artists are not required to be licensed.

So, does that mean you aren't a qualified makeup artist? Absolutely not. While a formal education can helpful in some regards, think of it this way: not all fantastic painters went to art school, but that doesn't make their work or knowledge of their practice any less credible.

Do you travel? Absolutely I do! I am based in Minneapolis proper and am willing to travel practically anywhere (where applicable travel fees come in).

Do you use one particular brand? I do not. While I have brand favorites, I do not play favorites. I carry Cinema Secrets, Kroylan, Graftobian, MAC, Urban Decay, Revlon, and much, much more. However, if you are a brand loyalist and want to discuss the use of a particular brand exclusively for your event, let's discuss the opportunity! There's always a way to make your vision a reality.

What are your deposit and cancellation policies? Deposits are due up front at contract signing and are 50% of total costs. The deposit is nonrefundable/nontransferable (even with service cancellation) and secures our time together for your event. The remainder of the balance is paid on the day of the event. Cash, check with ID, and credit cards are accepted. Please cancel as soon as you know you must do so.

What should I know about you right off the bat? I am a glitter advocate (but I won't force you to use it).
